One mistake in this process will mean a complete game over. But when you fully manage to establish the production process in your own region, you will be able to encroach on the lands of your neighbors and expand your network over a larger area.

Another feature that complicates the gameplay is the system of attention of the authorities to your dirty deeds. Any aggression directed at another cartel or government buildings will cause increased attention, which in turn will make life more difficult for our small business.
These same “complications” can be completely different from a simple investigation in a production building or point of sale, to an army attack. At the same time, the system itself works disgustingly, attention stars are collected very quickly, which slows down the gameplay by 6-7 times, and they themselves do not fall at all.
At the same time, money will help you solve any problems with the law. And in general, they solve most of the problems in the game, even the desire to own a new city.

But don’t forget about your level of recognition or reputation. The higher it is, the more opportunities open up for you, but sometimes you will have to sacrifice your reputation in order not to end up in jail.

As a result, Cartel Tycoon is a really good representative of its genre, in a very interesting setting, with good developments, which are currently not implemented in the best possible way.
But don’t forget that this is early access and the developers will most likely bring everything to fruition. However, with all this, at this stage of the project’s development, we can recommend it only to true drug lords who are ready to plunge headlong into the process of creating their own empire and overcome any difficulties and shortcomings of early access.
